I couldn't see the hump in the pic either! No speed restrictions, or markings on the road. Looks like you'd have a fairly good case there?? I'm so close to making complaints for pot holes around MK, but the next day it's always been filled!

just carry a camera around with you ,and take photos. trust me you can claim and the council will pay up. have a good legal representitive to write them a letter with the photos.

i was still in first gear and have a passenger as a witness, you cant even speed up that road:
1) cars low and i'm not a tool
2) the road is shocking enough as it is with potholes
3) a car had turned where that mx5 is in the pic, so i had just pulled off
loads round our way like that especially at junctions ill get a pic of the entrance to our road for a laugh as it dips on the outside so over a 1ft hozriontally it drops nearly 8"
as for the shaft i'd guess at oil pump drive without seeing the damage but iirc they are pretty well covered

holy crap!!! sorry to see this bud the councils need to start getting their arses in gear with regards to speed humps! not sure if there are any forums dedicated to this kind of thing, bet there are. might be worth trying www.pepipoo.co.uk (they deal with speed cameras etc, but may have a section where you can ask legal experts)

i know what you mean, my friend has a supercharged VR6 golf and it sounds soooooooo nice!
as others said drop a charged vr engine in the ibiza that would be very very very cool
