Whats a leon like on 18s? im worried mine will be a very harsh ride with washy suspension.

Will it look like its on stilts?

What cheapish way is there to get the leon to sit nicer can anyone recommend a spring kit that will work with my current shocks? is cupra r suspension different and if so should i change to it?

Also on my corsa i put 17s on and they said i ruined the steering rack by putting wheels that are too big on it. Will this happen to the leon?

Advice please?

Some Leons come with 18's mate no Corsas came with 17's!
It will look a bit high and you'd be better doing the suspesion to make it look and handle better, if you can strech, get coilovers, if not Koni FSD's seem a good choice!

Me = Student.

honestly cannot come close to coilover price. Im talking a spax spring kit or something. Would it be better than my current suspension?

I did a search and found i should be ok up to 30mm without changing the drop links.

cant go to low cause of the sump in the diesel.

You'll be fine with that, you've handling won't be much better if it all, it will prob be a bit bouncy, lowered springs on standard shocks but it'll be fine!
30mm drop on 18's you'll prob end up with the sump at the same hight!

18s on black
17s on silver
both on standard suspension at time

is it diff, i know the LCR is but thought the cupra/fr petrols and diesels were same!
assumed it was a cupra or fr tdi

front end will be naturally lower tho james, bigger lump is the diesel unit

Mines on 18`s with no probs , could do with lowering though . koni springs are about £100 , Jamex about £20 cheaper . Hopefully getting some Koni`s soon

as per flares doesnt look toooo bad so i think ill get em. whats the ride comfort like on 225 40 18s?

but if i lower 30mm would look alot better i think :) i was gonna get your wheels flare but they look a pain to clean . and wouldnt suite my subtle techno styling.

The ride does`nt seem that much different to be honest , it just feels like there is more grip . I was a bit unsure about springs as I did`nt want the suspension rock hard but I`m not prepared to spend vast amounts of cash so springs it is . The wheels are a bit of of a pain as all the muck sits on the lip , but when they`ve had a quick polish they look awesome . They`re TSW Volcanoo`s on 225"40"18 yokohama Parada`s .
