Hi. A little new here, so excuse any errors.

Toledo Tdi broke down and would not start at all. The glow plug light does not light up at all and the car will not start. all other electrical things working ok.
It got towed to a garage and they are messing me around and talking about electrical faults and plugging laptops into it.

Would the fact that the light does not come on at all (rather than flashing) indicate that the glow plugs need replacing, or could it really be a bizarre electrical fault.

I'm thinking I might tow it back home and try and fix it myself if it goes on much longer.

More Info..

The garage now says that a relay that operates the glow plugs as soon as the drivers door opens is the fault. Is this likely?

Help

Garage has now given up. New glowplugs and a relay still wont go.
Glow plug light does not come on.

Any ideas?
