TDI Ibiza Cupra Front Pads

Hi

Can anyone please tell me what make are the front calipers on the ibiza cupra Tdi. I thought they were Brembos, but someone told me they were AP's?
Also is there anywhere apart from the main dealers where I can source a new set. i.e do EBC or someone make them?

I believe you can buy ebc stuff from gsf car parts

Defo AP set-up, however not sure where you can get them except VAG suppliers.

What are you going to put them on?

Cheers for that. Chances are if they're AP calipers, people like mintex, EBC or AP themselves make the pads aswell & hence a chance of getting them without paying VAG dealer prices?

Calipers on the Ibiza PD160 Cupra are AP`s. Lots of companies do uprated pads for that car. Ferrodo DS2500 are rated the best by most people at about £100 for a set, personally i wouldn`t touch EBC stuff. Mintex extreme pads are good if your on a tight budget.

He'll find that they're the same pads as the Clio V6.

I work for GSF, we sell the Mintex Extreme ones.

Thanks for the info. I'll start phoning about now. I also take it with the discs that they are common to all VAG cars running the 312mm size?
Got the car booked into midland vw next week for a phase 1 custom code, so looking forward to the after results

I had Tarrox G88 discs and DS2500 pads on my tuned PD Cupra when i had it and found them to be very good.

EBC grooved discs with DS2500s here... very good.

Definetly going to get uprated pads ( ferodo or mintex) but more than likely will stick to standard discs but use a good make.
Current state of tune is, sachs clutch, miltek downpipe & panel filter. Booked in for a custom code phase 1 next week & then that's it!!? Standard discs should be o.k with that kind of spec

Ive been running that spec for a few years now, and never been in need of more braking power (when I was running standard discs and pads) even on the track.

The discs are the same as the MK1 TT, S3, Leon Cupra and Octavia vRS. We sell Brembo ones.
