I know the new Fiat Panda goes from starting the car - to warm air coming out the vents in 16 seconds! About the only thing it's good for I bet!

I would guess that is with a petrol engine? and at another guess, the warm air is partially or wholly coming from a heat exchanger on the exhaust manifold - that's the only thing that could possibly warm up that quickly. Unless there is an electric heating element in the warm air system

Yeh it's the petrol one. Does 0-60 in 20ish seconds though!

i done 50 plus miles in my leon and the temp still didn hit 90

me too and doesn't it take a long time after the water is hot, my coolant is heated so the heater warms up within approx 1-2 miles @just above 0'C downside is an 80 amp draw from the heater plugs, if all four are on, you need to nurse the battery

Mien hits 90 within 5 miles, with aircon off.

My 1.4TDI is lifting off the bottom of the guage in the 3 miles it takes to get to the motorway. After that, within a couple of minutes, the guage is upto 90. The air out the vents is warming after just a couple of miles.

It warms up just as quick as my old corsa 1.2, and miles quicker than my old 1.8TD Escort!

my coolant temp sensor was broke but now its changed its nealy on 90 withing 3 miles of driving tidy

Mine takes about 15 mins to get to 90 degrees. I've never heard my fan going on (although I probably wouldn't, over the racket of my engine).
