I'll look up some examples of part numbers tomorrow. But I also have the self study program as a PDF here with all the engine info etc and it states no differences between the CAVF and CAVE engines.

Oh no, please don't get me wrong... I am not saying anybody is lying. I would just like to have confirmations from several sources, just to rule out accidental misinformation. And as I am new to the forum I still need to find who are the experts here providing good information.

Btw: I did not realize you were quoting from VAG group part catalog. Suddenly the reliability of your information to me gained a couple of notches.
