Looks exactly the same as what my fooked stat looked like, when I replaced it. Glad you got it sorted

just heard back from euro car parts today, they settled my claim at £51.40 bit disappointed because it cost me just under 100 to sort but I couldn't be bothered taking it any further. they also gave some voucher codes for further purchases.

Just got 17704 again...

Weirdly, gauge is perfect, but:

Cold starts fine, but starting from warm, ECU temp has gone right down, gradually builds to 90 over a few mins, they stays at 90 just like the gauge.

Temp sensor must be OK, right?

Thermostat must be OK, right?

Hi,

Experiment this morning, 1 hour drive to work.

upon ignition: temp gauge below 60, ECU 13 degrees.

After approx 5 mins: temp gauge up to 90, ECU only up to 14.

throughout 1 hour journey: temp gauge stays at 90, ECU gradually up to 24.

After journey, decided to put the aircon on, temp gauge still at 90, but ECU rising more rapidly now, to 68...

This make me think the Thermostat is fine, but the CTS is fooked?
