Yeah i mean the mk5 is ok, but it lacks the sort of bold personality of the mk4 i think, and yeah its a shame they have got rid of the v6 in the mk6 R but they do go well, just dnt have that rasp like no other haha, i think noise is all part of it with the r32, bet u cant wait to get the miltek!

Are the Mk6's 4wd still??? If so, I think they could be lethal pocket rockets! Cos I know you only need a few minor mods and you've got 350bhp. And with 4wd that'd be awesome. The V6's aren't that tunable, but like you say, the V6 and the noise is all part of them.

I do have the Milltek non res cat back. But want the full system :)

Where abouts do you work??? Bet its not in the south west? lol
 
Yeah the mk6s are 4wd mate, and yeah i bet when people get tuning this will be one to look out 4, but im pretty sure they are like 30k hahaha, so mite have to wait a while to see eh!
Yeah mate i work at mann egerton vw in exeter so very much south west!!

Ah right - well I'm up at Bridgwater junction! So not all that far away! Might have to get in touch with you when it's due a service and see if you can do me a deal. ;)

Excellent mod dude, sports cats make such a nice difference. A bit pricey for a twin setup like that though, but as you say, its a more expensive car to run and mod. Thats what you get for having 6 cyl and 4wd :p

Do they? I've never had them. I had the decat on the Ibiza before I got any serious power so only noticed the gain in noise. I think I had it done on standard power tbh!

I didnt pay the full price for the Milltek Sports cats. They retail at about £650ish? I paid over £200 less than that for brand new ones :D :D

Will be good to get it fitted. I felt with the Ibiza, I wish I'd gone for a better quality exhaust system. Now I'm doing it properly and feel better for it! Hopefully I'll notice a difference! :D
 
Ah, good that you got a deal. I paid around £650 for my whole Milltek system, DP, Cat, Cat-back lol :p The sports cat made a nice difference on my car even before mapping, I'd guess at LEAST 5bhp on my bum dyno, possibly more.

I wouldn't say you did anything wrong with the Ibiza, as long as the exhaust is leak free and makes a nice sound, whats the problem? I think you do pay a slight premium for the Milltek name but I wouldnt have any other exhaust on mine now.

I've heard the Milltek sports cats can actually cause power/torque loss on the R32. But getting a map can sort it all out. From the people I know that's fitted the cats, they've noticed no difference. Apart from noise :)
