The illusive de-badged grill for LCR!!!

Am i believing my eyes when i see that on fleabay there is now a company doing the badgeless grill for the mk1 LCR!?!

It looks like the right one, ive messaged them and they say yes this is what everyone has been waiting for!!!

So ive brought one its in the post, ill let you all know if its the right one!

Don't do it...

The only cars i keep seeing with badgeless grills are every make of Vauxhall... and theres a reason they dont like the badge!

What puts me off is the cars they show are cupras and even then one doenst have it.

To be honets the bets way to do it to buy one of these, cut the S out so your left with a few stumps then cut the strips out of the after market one and mould them in.

those slatted ones have been out for years, cos same company sells ibiza slatted ones too

personally i like the badge, i think it looks good against the black.

i dont really see point in changing mine, as its blanked off anyway behind that part of the grill
guessing the LCRs arent

No, the LCR grill's not blanked off behind.

And a couple of people have found that the silver "S" bit pops out leaving an "S" shaped void, that looks kind of cool-ish.

I'm from Holland and i'm a car-painter by proffesion.
I made one myself because there isn't anything for sale for a LCR frontbumper.
I used the old side grilles from my original bumper, took out the S badge and cut the complet part out, welded the parts from the old sidegrilles in.
Sanded it in the correct shape, and painted it.

it still hasnt come yet but the more i look at it the more i think its not going to fit. The parts guy at my local seat tells me that all three grilles are joined together behind the front bumper so looks like a lot of work if it is right. Ill let you all know when/if it comes!!!
