IMO it's no good remapping a 130/160 tdi and then needing to baby it at low revs, low rev range torque is what TDI's are all about :shrug:

Totally agree. I'd have a stash of cash set aside for a replacement clutch if I ever do remap my 160. I'd not get it at the same time though, only when/if the standard clutch buggers up (no point doing it until the std one starts to struggle IMO).
 
ha ha yeah true a11y but when i got my car to allards they assured me the standard clutch would not take 230bhp so went straight for the uprated clutch bit savage but great when your used to it....
 
LOL I'm just tight, I'd try to get all the life out of my standard clutch before junking it...

But if you're there getting other stuff done at the same time then it makes sense to get it done while you're there.
