Not true, the original Focus ST was a 2ltr. Known as the ST170

go on lad do us proud.. but as said above the CTR's are not a slow car mate![]()
see when you launch cupras, where do you sit your revs at?iv tried 2.5k and it takes off really slowly.and iv been told that i should launch from 4k and control my right foot...but that entails a lot of wheelspin...what do you guys do??
Do you accelerate aswell or try and hold it at 2.5K?
It does take practice and lost of fun.
If 2.5K isn't enough try a little more till you find what works best for you.
One of the many things back roads were built for![]()
i would'ny say ctr's are all that quick eaither i have a tdi 150 and that makes then work hard its about even between mine and a ctr i only ever lost a race to 1 an that was'nt standerd
All I can say to that mate is you have come across a lot of wet drivers. No way in hell a 150bhp TDI Leon will stick with a properly driven CTR. You could easily catch one out, but if on the ball the CTR will hand you your ass on a plate mate...
Simple facts..
Leon 150bhp - 1300+ kgs
CTR 200bhp - 1200 kgs
Torque or no torque, just aint going to happen with equal drivers behind the wheel..
About 2.5K would be about right, at 4.5K I have to lift off a little to stop wheel spin, this is in an unmapped LCR though.
