£700 for the lot all fitted, seems not entirely rip off..

cheap tyres are £650, GDS3's are £775

Look quite nice, what make??

Personally so anthracite wheels would look pukka on white mk4.

Cupra or FR?

Go 205/40/17, and buy the better tyres!

215 might rub depending on offset of wheels?

How wide are they?

i went to this company called shadows in reading, he had a look, looked in a book and a good discussion and recommended the 215 as max width. (7j rims)

we have a company BMW at work, it has 225 width tyres and is absolutely gorgeous to drive. so id like wide tyres, based on that really

if they rub i can get em changed :)

My wheels are 7j, i'd recommend 205 for those wheels, up to you but 215 are it too wide imo

215 on the back would help with grip :)

lol I would stick with the 205 width and get the more expensive tyres, and get some spacers!

B7 RS4 rims would look good on your car!

when they go on i'll do some opposite lock testing and see how they go!

edit - posted just as you did.

would 205 rather than 215 be cheaper?

can't really see those wheels from the pic?

edit edit: any reason you prefer the 205 apart from the possible rubbing?

The alloys would be the same price but the tyre price should be different I think

I just edited my post but its not comming up!

The 205's would be slightly lighter and you can just get spacers to fill out the arches and improve handling at the same time!

What engine is in your car

I'd find some cheaper wheel and tyre deals than that to be honest with you mate, my old RS4's with tyres were only £550

I agree with this, those alloys with tyres are pricey for something that isnt really worth the premium IMO. They arent really anything special as alloys go!

i think it's a 100bhp 1.9 tdi. i have pd160's and remaps in the plan! ....should have enough oomph?

ive found nice deals on ebay for under £600, but im no expert in fitting them and any extra bits i need, i figure it's worth spending an extra £100 on a car costing not tons less than £10k, to save problems in the future. well...hmm..maybe.!

i might also be getting some birthday help in the near future....winner!

As yours a diesel I suppose the extra little weight argument of the 215's wont really matter too you as you have the diesel torque!

Are the alloys a 5 stud? Usually alot of companies will balance the tires before sending them out to you!

diesel yes, 5 stud yes

aye exactly..i think/hope...some decent diesel torque going on there!

one other thing is thatif they get fitted and i change my mind, i should be able to go back and try again!

that may just be endless headaches with an ebay purchase
