cheers mate, Dave at Shadows in reading did the recommending for the tyres and wheels.

all fitted for £700 - £68 per tyre £80 per wheel i think that was. reasonable for a good job!

thats the most expensive and difficult bit that everything else relied on, glad to get it out the way.

30mm lower for £180 is an option...then sort out the performance and sound :)

You should get some spacers next to push the rear wheels out so its flush with the arches!

i will see how the ride feels over a couple of months, then consider lowering, i don't want the ride to be TOO rattley, shadows recommended just changing the springs for tougher ones, is easier on the budget too

the tyres actually line up very nicely with the arches, they are about 5mm outside them. the previous ones looked very lost!

got them fitted at midday today!

reversed out of the garage car park at full left lock and it felt smooth

will be on the look out for any bumps and grinds that shouldn't be there tho

they are 215 all round. could feel a very slight tramlining (?) occasionally on the drive back, nothing too much, round corners it feels f&cking solid :D

i am wondering if i should be avoiding going over the middle of mini roundabouts now, with 40 tyres :p

personally phil i would have spend the money on a re-map, just my opinion though alloys look ok, i prefer the oem look though.

the remap is also in the plan!

my handling was horrible with my 195/55 r15's. it was rolling around corners and over any country or uneven roads it literally bounced over the bumps.

once i have the handling steady and solid (possibly with stiffened&lowering) the remap comes after ;)

the next immediate thing is a pd160

may also paint my calipers white or red now that you can see them.
