got my forge tip this morning, fitted it in the after noon ( after sorting the mrs corsa steering ball joint, dam crap thing)

ha ha, its brilliant, only trimmed it by about 3mm in the end.

pull is much stronger on the boost and really good wind up noise. sounds like a turbo now.

bit quieter whoosh on lift off now but its a small price to pay.

I had mine fitted the about a month ago, I know what you mean about the sound, makes a huge difference to the sound of the spool up.

I can hear it from inside my car with the windows up

i got a forge tip, from forge, turned up sat morning to get it.

yeah you can here the spool up in the car with the windows up.
deffinatly pulling alot stronger to.

Shouldn't be a quieter whoosh mate? The TIP should make the whoosh louder, as the echo doesn't have to travel via that ANNOYING bend in the standard TIP.

Its a great mod isn't it! I got mine 2nd hand for £80 on my previous Ibiza, what a bargain!!

Pain in the arse to fit and you need to make sure you have jubilee clips to fit it with as well. You might be best off taking it somewhere to fit rather than getting the standard TIP off and realising you cant fit the new one.

Go to forge and get your discount from them, I paid £99 for mine. Great mod for the sound. Really makes a difference

yeah my bad on the whoosh, split R dv needs adjusting to suit agian. will be on that tonight.

wasnt as bad to fit as i thort, did have to trim the turbo end 5mm. helps that i have a pit in my garage, other wise wouldnt have been able to do it at home. need two people and alot of patience as well.

before you start just make sure you have the right jubilee clips. think it would be a 3 or 4 spanner job for haines!

I think ill get it done by a mechanic. Im buying a new Induction Kit on Friday off Craig on here, which is a BMC one. Ill fit that myself and see if the local garage can do the TIP for me.

The woosh 'should' be quieter with the Forge mk3 Ibiza TIP as the dv vents through the air filter/induction kit but the dv is mounted further away from the air filter/induction kit. At least it is on a friend of mines Ibiza who IIRC had the 1st prototype Ibiza TIP from Forge, so i guess the design may have changed since then
