Picked up the Cupra rear handles today and they look more complicated than i thought, not sure what to do with the cable or if there are any speccial tools i need. Would you have the dealer fit them?
thats very good how to, did a door trim removal on a MK4 golf and it was ok, recommend 2 people though, Leon looks a bit more complicated but still do-able, glad i dont need to remove the rubber around the glass though.will give it ago once the parts arrive.
I am having mine fitted by dealer, quoted me £40 for fitting and it is a door panel off job.
Hon n jem, the cupra b and c pillars are a glossy finish and the fr is a matt type finish, i think it is a nice suttle mod not to ott.
Right fitted my cupra rear door handles today and they are a bit of a pain, 1st of all the above how too on removing the door card has gone so i went in blind, took me and my mate about 45 mins to do one door would have been quicker if i hadnt droper the little clip down the door.
The other side took about 25 mins once we had it sussed. What we did learn is that the door card dus not have to come all the way off just enough to move it about.
Will take some pics once i have give the car a clean.
Dealer quoted £250 to have the B and C pillars fitted for me. Said the door opening mechanism was the tricky part, as its inside the door (so had to be taken apart).
Any step by steps with pictures would be awesome if anyone is planning to do this any time soon
How much do the rear handles cost?
Also is it possible to get both the b and c pillars in gloss black? (Again prices if known)
Lastly is the gloss black grill surround available and if so does anyone know how much?
