Will do matey.

Not sure to be honest. Kind of weighing up the options at the moment. The car is staying though :D
Heard on the grapevine, that I may be able to get hold of a GTB2260 with manifold for around the same price of a TD2 hybrid. Already considering a ported and flowed head to go with my current setup. Then all I'd need is injectors, and I'd be looking around 300bhp.

Sounds like you're following in Jasons shoe's a bit? Can you overbore it at all to a 2.0? Then do the head, maybe cams???? Polish and port everything. Put it all back together :) There must be something better than the manifolds on the hybrid PD150's though. They seem very small and restrictive for the kinda puff that's going through! I've heard the 3.0 V6 turbo is an upgrade for the hybrids? There was a lad on here putting one on his hybrid derv.......dont know what the results were! Thing is the bigger turbo, the more lag??? Sooty's turbo (Allards VT2/VT3) was a much turbo than the PD150 hybrids, he could get turbo chatter etc which sounded awesome, but he reckoned mine pulled better and harder. Didn't tail off, just pulled straight into the red. But I suppose that's down to the map?

The 2260 is off the V6's Ash ;) Will probably be on a custom tubular manifold. Yeh similar kind of route to Jason. Maybe a few trick bits too. Car is staying as is looks wise though, thats for certain. Went down a hit at Trax. A lot of very impressed people, questioning what it actually was!

As for the VT2, those turbos are actually good for less power than the TD2. The chatter is just in the mapping and way the car is set up. It's also very unhealthy. It's basically the turbine stalling, which shags the bearings.

I dont know all the turbo numbers. I dont sit at home with a box of tissues remembering turbo part numbers. :p

Cant believe people dont know about the hybrid dervs! I suppose unless you're in the VAG scene you wont really know! Mine certainly used to catch some people out. Dont see many down here at all though! All the people I know with them live North of Birmingham! You, Sparky, Paul (when he had his), Chris when he had his. Laddy up in Scotland. Seem very rare down here! Apart from mine that's rattling round still! Wherever it is! :(

Allards turbos are unhealthy full stop, prone to blowing up! :cartman:

I did spend a bit of time cleaning it up before Trax, and im keeping on top of it now. It's the only bit of the car worth spending the time on.
Regarding turbo, it's not a deffinate yet. Old one will probably have seen better days too by the time it comes off.

Unsure wether to mess with ride height yet, as I'm considering cupra bumpers again, which would change the look completely, but if i stick with pre-face bumpers, I may drop it a fraction more.

Wheels look good bud. Is your pipe from the intercooler to the inlet a custom pipe?

The pipe is part of a kit that Spitfire Performance offers. This was actually one of the prototypes, and think the original design (which was fitted to the other test car) is the one supplied in the kit. Only difference is that the bends were done by cutting and welding the pipe on mine, and by using a pipe bender on the others.

I was looking for them last night! What's the specs and price if you don't mind me asking? Was about to say you'll be able to fit brakes under them so no excuses, but your already ahead of that one by the sound ofthings!

Ordered my brakes last night. 330mm KSport 8pots.
Stef. Let's just say I'm not doing all this prep work for nothing. Don't think I'm going to aim quite for 400bhp, but I'm looking to push things a bit further.
