Yeah good point mate, still a useful enough extra to have to save those car park scratches!

How do I avoid them? I avoid car parks nearly altogether.......................... :D

Don't mind Bluewater so much as the bay's are big and sometimes I can park in a corner somewhere near no one else.

Is it a daily driver mate? The bays at my office are sh!t, and I must say LCR's have a crap turning circle!

Nope certainly isn't. It used to be but I don't want it to be a daily drive anymore purely because of the state of the roads and how c**p people are at driving these days.

LCR's turning circle isn't it's best feature agreed..

Wish I had that luxury, I do about 60 miles a day in mine commuting. Not a huge amount but wish I had enough money for a run around. That's a nice luxury to have at 24 mate, if I remembered your age right!

Yeah 24 mate, but no way can I run a 2nd car lol. I wish!!

If I could it would be a 1.8 T Polo GTi for my gf. So I could remap it from 150bhp to over 200 without her knowing :cartman:

Decided I'm going to get some HID's as they look sweet against plat grey. How do these look? 2 year warrnaty and free LED sidelights?

I love the colour of 8000k but if they're not recommended then I'll settle with 6000k. Thoughts? If 8000k means more police attention, I'd rather avoid the grey are a and risk fines etc and go with more subtle 6000k. 5300k doesn't look blue enough for me :(

Tom, here's a link to my exact kit below...

H7R bulbs allday long mate. No 'glare effect' into oncoming drivers and the beam pattern is better spread. Mine are 6000k.. I went for these as 8000k are too blue for my liking and would more than likely get me pulled over where I live. Upto you and personal taste, but personally the attention from them is not something I wanted to be honest.

Really happy with mine, have been good as gold since they went on, and they use micro ballasts so they fit snugly tucked away in your bay.

Pics of mine below:

The kit you have given a link to looks fine though, same spec as mine so the effect will be near identical to mine I would imagine. And free LED sidelights is a bonus. You can also see my LED sides' in my pics above to have a look at.

Hope that helps.

Ah nice one Tom. The ones I posted are H7R anti glares too, but they come with free side lights so worth getting you reckon? Looks so nice in the pictures mate adds a touch of class to the motor overall I think.

That FMIC...

EDIT: Just seen the bottom of your reply. Cheers mate - gonna order them now and do them this weekend! The 007P can wait, these look so good.

Thanks again mate you're a great help on here.

Yes mate that kit should be fine if that's the look your after above. The give off so much more light in the dark, you really notice down country lane's where you'd usually have to use your full beam's. Not anymore :)

Definitely adds a touch of class, brings the car upto date a bit I feel with all German cars out there today running bright, 'blue-ish' lights. BMW X5's come to mind!

Haha, the fmic does stand out a bit and I've always liked that. It's this one below, but I went for red pipework as you can see in the pics.

Just seen your EDIT buddy, no probs and good choice. You'll love them.

Remember to post up pics of how they look once installed ;)

The red piping on your FMIC is just what I want mate, it looks amazing. I keep having the red vs blue dilemma though... blue cone filter with red coupler at the moment :D Blue and red both look good... so so hard to choose.

I'll be getting the toyo intercooler for £70 off and piping separate. Need to find the red stuff! Can't afford to buy your nice kit :D

The Toyo cooler's are great too, few LCR boys run them I think, but the majority you will see on the 180 Cupra's. They all seem very happy with the cooler's and they clearly do the job well.

Looking forward to see how your fmic plans work out.

Thanks for the comment. I went for the red theme as I wanted to match up the hoses to the Brembo's from day one really. It'll look better once I've had a brembo refurb this season and also cleaned up the lower fmic hoses. They're a bit grubby now, gradually going grey/black lol.

It will be budget, but good enough for me. I'm itching to get this stage 2 map and I remembered last night about needing the turbo catback zorst too :( another month to wait :'(

Toyosports coolers might seem budget in price but they really aren't in performance. I certainly wouldn't slate one off from what I've heard/read.

My advice is don't rush into the stage 2 map. It's great, but the good thing about it taking time to get there is you can prepare the car as well as you can before it does get mapped.

Servicing, boost leaks, fresh oil, run on high octane fuel time and time again, this is what mine went through for a year before I decided to get it mapped. It was time ;)

It's gonna take me ages to get to the mapping stage ;) I just get excited and plan do get it all ready in 3-4 months then slowly realise I don't have enough money :D Would love to get it done so I can have some nice summer driving in a mapped car though. I can't rush too much because my wallet won't afford it but I can't wait to get it finished.

It's worth it though. Took me 1 whole year to build part by part and then map her ;)

Did you say summer?! What's that? :cartman:

Even when we're meant to get one, it doesn't last long.

It's that time of year when it gets above 12 degrees and we all start wearing shorts and t shirts, going to the beach and freezing our tits off eating ice creams :D

Are there any HID fitting guides on here for LCR's with pics? It's not as obvious to me as I thought it would be so I need some pointers. I saw the 2 metal clips round the black plastic cover that you take off to replace the standard bulbs. I'm guessing this is the bit you drill through and fit the grommet to. It's the wiring that's not too clear to me...

Just started pissing with rain so I've had to leave the car with the negative off the battery and the black plastic cover off the drivers side. Hope I don't have to go anywhere soon :D

Well it seems to be a case of 'it's so simple it looks hard'. So I've done the headlights, now about to do the sidelights. Got some pics in the process to help anyone else who needs a pointer.
