• Hey Guest💡👉 We have just launched our new Dealer Directory and review service Find out more now
The one in August sounds good! Maybe I'd have a bit more to be proud of then too ;)

Tesco momentum for me, right by my house. I think I'll be doing the diverter valve next (apart from service/tyres) and the tip at the same time. £140+ is a crazy price for a bit of silicon though :( Then all it needs is red hoses everywhere, a remap and then an intercooler for summer!

Hopefully I have decent results like you did, it certianly sounds like a different car once stage 2'd. It'll be interesting to see how the custom code remap works out for me compared to your amd.

August one is nice and warm too
Don't expect as high figures on the rollers in the warmer weather though! I would take around 270 maybe lower on a very warm day even stage 2! Ambient temp's will be up alright.

Cool, run it on momentum for a good few tanks, the ECU adapts and learns the fuel aswell and sometimes if you change it the car can feel lumpy and even sluggish. All things to take into account if the car feels different at anytime to what your used to.

Badger5 3" TIP is more than that mate, but so so worth it. Proven gains and a great bit of kit! Worth buying!!! Love mine :D

Intercooler is definitely a summer thing so good call there.. No point at the moment. I think your custom code map will be smoother than mine, which has a bit of a kick to it. Great maps though the custom code's. Alot of happy customers on here using them. You'll soon see the gains!!

Hmm, maps are so hard to choose. I don't want a hugely aggressive map that dies out early (heard REVO is like this?) but then I don't want one that's too boring  I'm tied between AMD and CC to be honest, CC is cheaper that's the only advantage I can think of. Did you have any problems with your map after getting it done?

REVO is a bit like that yes mate, very aggressive map but alot of fun. My mate has a stage 2 REVO'd LCR and it goes really well! Big old kick early on.

Well me Coops10 and brad on here got the latest AmD stage 2 map recently put on our cars and we noticed sometimes on very cold starts, the car would almost feel unmapped... However mine hasn't done it since the 1st couple of weeks of having it mapped. I wouldn't hesitate getting either map. But Custom Code will be just as good and won't be dull by any means ;)

The choice is yours to make when the time comes, and how the map is delivered be it smooth or aggressive is upto you how you want it bud. I find my AMD one has a kick to it but I would have been happy with a smoother more progressive map too.

Well it's between those 2 so I'll decide when I've got the money, lol. Thanks for the low down. Waiting for regal autosport to call me back about the dyno run, almost feeling nervous to see what it got in case it's a crappy result!

This is a video I took tonight (in the dark so only sound) of a rattle I've started getting. Sat in neutral, revving from idle and then letting it settle. As revs hit idle you can hear the rattling I'm talking about. Sounds like it's from the underneath of the car near where the driver sits. Hard to tell though - any ideas?

I'll have to get it checked out at the service I think. Nothing back from regal I'll call em again this afternoon I think. If they're busy it's probably bottom of their list.

Boring day today, miserable weather and had to occupy myself with something so I took the side r badges off. They were in a sorry state anyway but I much prefer them off. Sorry t0m I had to copy you mate!

Couldn't be bothered to clean the whole car is this weather but gave the wheels a little scrub, but not with wheel cleaner.

Tanks Tyrer. Looks smarter without them I think. Bit OTT with all the badges everywhere I think. It's the only time I've stepped out of the house today lol.

:cartman: Looks just like mine!! ;)

Seriously, if your car was lowered we'd look near identical from the rear, lol. Although you have the parking sensors on the rear bumper...

Looks much better for dropping the badges though bud. Good work!

Was meant to clean mine today for the rolling road day but it's been drizzling allday and I CBA. lol

How comes yours hasn't got parking sensors mate? It's newer than mine? Maybe they realised how crap they are and stopped fitting them lol.

Everytime I do something to it or give the wheels a little scrub I notice how fantastic these cars look. Subtle but with an aggressive front with the honeycomb etc.

Think they we're an extra mate, not standard.

Prefer the bumper smooth if I'm honest sorry to say

Me too mate, not the nicest looking sensor but I wanted the car so I put up with it :D The sensors are so low that when im reversing down my drive it goes nuts. Not the best sensor in the world but useful enough in a car park.

Cheers 8bit, I'll get one of those and then get the proper software. What's the difference? Less coverage with the unofficial software?

The unregistered version won't tell you what all fault codes mean and you're restricted in terms of what blocks you can use for data logging. You also can't recode stuff so you won't be able to do throttle body resets or enable the interior alarm sensors (if yours are disabled).

Yeah good point mate, still a useful enough extra to have to save those car park scratches!

How do I avoid them? I avoid car parks nearly altogether.......................... :D

Don't mind Bluewater so much as the bay's are big and sometimes I can park in a corner somewhere near no one else.
