Tom! How did you do this?! If you won't tell me now you will tell me tomorrow! :) might even bring my laptop so you can show me on vagcom :)

I'll bring my laptop mate it's different software. Jonesy on here showed me how after I PM'd him but it'll be easier if you do it with me cause it's Czech software and I had to translate all the buttons ;) Hopefully my battery will last long enough  I'll charge it up tonight.

Not sure I'll ever use it that much but it's pretty cool :D works through the normal vagcom cable too, which is in my glovey.

Once I'd found which buttons to press it took 10 seconds.

Full tank of momentum, 0 faults on vagcom tonight, tyre pressures sorted and inside/outside cleaned up. Bring on tomorrow :D

that window trick looks great! please share :D

hope the map goes well should get good results!

Well I've woken up and can't get back to sleep :D leaving at 6 30 anyway so not too bad.

RS6 I might make a quick screen recording of how to do it but not until later today.

Cheers guys

if you could that be great got the software think i know what to do but a video would be amazing to confirm

How'd you get on Tom?

Hey mate, really happy with the results! The car made 231bhp and 225lb/ft before map, and after it was 269bhp with 290lb/ft! I'll upload the pic of the print out in a bit. Difference is unbelievable. Did a quick blast down the road with tom and could feel it, but during the drive home it just got better and better as the car adapted. By the time I was home it was pulling like a train - shame I had to go through three 50 zones!

Had a blast in tom's car as well, lovely lcr that and an absolute beast. Nice to meet a fellow SCNer as well he's a top chap.

I'll try and knock one together tonight :)

Cheers for the kind words mate, was nice to meet you. You came across as a top bloke and you seem very happy with the results :)

The car has given you a strong base to work with now. It felt very smooth on the dual carriageway run you did. Give it some more adaptation over the coming days and it will be even better. I'd be well chuffed too, and was when I had my mapping done.

Enjoy!! [B)]

Thanks Tom. I can't believe the difference just the run home has made to it. I was pulling away from services (after my massive burger king :) ) and it was like it suddenly found an extra gear somewhere and made the standard map feel so damn slow.

Only thing is when boosting in 5th/6th it the intake area makes a funny whistling/screeching sound on top of the usual whoosh  just checked all my hoses and none of them are loose. Really hope it's not turbo related... it only happens on full boost which I don't do often in those gears anyway. Doesn't do it in any other gear.

:funk: well done Tom sounds like you had a mint day and you car seems to have made really good results! Enjoy the power of your new and improved LCR lol :)

Some pics of the results.

To start with I had never seen this before!

Hard to get good pics of the results...

Warm weather too so who knows if the figures may be a bit higher on a cold one. Not really bothered though, feels great on the road. Throttle response is a million times better and the torque has changed the drive completely.

Congrats on the remap although this screaching you have is not normal. Do you have an uprated TIP? It sounds like you might have a leak from the TIP if that it where the sound is originating from. Another place could be the downpipe, they make some odd noises on boost when they crack.

Nope, didn't think it was :D I don't have an uprated TIP but after speaking with Tom today I think I'm going to order one very soon. Don't think it's the downpipe as it was new in november. Funny how it's only in 5th/6th gear  And to add to that it doesn't happen every time either.

Check underside of the hose going from DV to charge pipe aswell Tom. It's prone to splitting on the underside.

As your running OEM TIP it could be that as you can see how weak they are compared to uprated silicone. For me, next mod would be a Creation silicone TIP. If it's definitely around that area it could well be TIP. Your running more boost now and weak areas will show up.

Can't see or feel any splits anywhere  I'll have to try and get the noise on camera or something, don't think I explained it too well. It's like the normal whoosing sound but with another pitch on top. Not overly loud just changes tone on full boost. Running vagcom scan now and there's a few faults. Will have to investigate those too.

Cracking figures you've got there, you must be chuffed to bits. :)

I'm really pleased to see everything went to plan. Those figures may creep up too while it adapts.
