These cars should have its history FULLY disclosed to the new buyer...but they never will...cos you would'nt buy it!
Tracking the history is impossable, my dealer tried and failed! well thats the story I got!
These cars get dented, smashed, ragged, repaired....then sold as a used car. I know, I had one!
All you can do if cross your fingers its OK, if not, go back to a the dealer and see what they do about it! As a tip, have a look in the service book and see whats written as the owner... seat uk or seat special operations!
Icecavern said:I've had 4 seats now, and ALL 4 have been ex SEAT UK cars, two special ops, one a demo, and the current R possibly given to a SEAT sponsored Touring car driver as a company car. Have I had any problems with them? Nope, not a single problem.
You check it over like you would any second hand car.

The Cupra Kid said:yeah mine was a special ops car! Mine could have also been driven by a Tourin car driver, could also have been driven by someone who dont give a toss cos it aint his car!...R stands for racing, also = Ragged!!!! So you've had 4, with no probs... lucky you...my bodywork had all been sprayed, the rear passanger window had been replaced, the brakes feel like it aint going to stop and it ticks over lumpy as hell! I could go on!
I checked the car over before I purchased it, yep i noticed a few things and pointed them out to the dealer, said i wanted the history of the car....it imposs to find this out!!!!
Only noticed the crap respray after the first time I cleaned it...I got soo angry and upset i never finished it! It not until you get up close and personal you see most of the problems!
ya pays ya money, ya takes ya chance!!!!

) touch wood - as others have said it's down to the individual car. I would rather have a ex press car that had been ragged for a few K than one that was crunched round in first gear everywhere by some old biddie...
The Cupra Kid said:horses for courses! buy a Noble etc and you expect it, buy a 4 seater family car, a bit different i think!!!!
At the end of the day, if your happy driving you car around knowing its been ragged to bits...then good for you, me on the other had, not a chance! And as for those people who told me I should pay more attention when looking at a car when buy one...yeah right! Like ya going to go ALL over a car, take the rubbers back, check every f'ing nut and bolt, look underneth, be totally anal...if it come from a MAIN SEAT DEALER you trust them to a degree! And my car was well covered up, it wasnt till I looked long and hard I found the faults...some people have lower levels of expectance then others!
think this tread needs to be closed now!
