track rod ends advice

hey everyone, i am about to replace another two tyres due to just finding out i need new track rod ends, stupid car, it feels so bad to drive at the moment and i wanted to find out after replacing these and the tyres and then getting the tracking and alignment done, what else should i consider replacing/checking to make sure i dont go through tyres or anything else for no good reason!! and yes i need to know coz i dont know mechanics enough to answer this myself hehe thanks

Prob be a good time to check ball joints, steering rack boots, see if there are any tears etc.

ok and would they be able to check these things without too much extra work whilst replacing my track rod ends i guess?

yeah definitely, they will see them when they are under the car anyway.

agreed,dont get your tracking done until you check your bushes are ok because it will need doing again if you have to replace them.

Im just about to replace my wishbones (instead of just doing the bushes) and track rod ends as im munching tyres at the moment and had the allignment done last year on the car. Hoping the new bits sorts the problems once its alligned again.

i replaced one set of bushes a while ago (changed them for the cupra ones) how many bushes are there?! haha yes i have no idea as u can tell!

There are front wishbone bushes and rear wishbone bushes. Anti-roll bar bushes and rear axle bushes.

thanks, i think it was the front wishbone bushes i had replaced. Would the other bushes effect the alignment etc? its worth getting them all checked anyway i guess

yeah its gay i've decided i'm just gonna do it all! including new headlights etc, all the little things that need fixing and then hopefully it'll stop causing me painful spending every few weeks! grr!
