The current part number for below the glovvie is 5P2 863 667B, so I'm guessing that has no foam. Hopefully one coming, so I'll see.

Hi

The trim under the glove box on my 2012 model year Altea XL is 5P2 863 083 and has no foam.

The drivers side trim part no 5P28630841UQ is missing, Seat UK have confirmed that part is no longer fiitted by the factory in Spain. Why its no longer fitted they could not say.

The part costs £29.62, but will it come with all fittings (screws ect) needed to fit it?

Hi

One also wonders what other parts are needed for the trim to fit, not just the screws.

The woman from SEAT UK pointed out the masive savings SEAT would make by not fitting that part to the car, not just one car but 1,000's of cars. Wonder if SEAT reduced the price of the car by the cost of the parts no longer fitted? :(

I used to work for BL making the Rover SD1 and cars missing bits or having the wrong bits fitted or in this case delete a part comes as no surprise. Once had a car with no exhaust fitted, fireing up the 3.5 V8 sure got people looking. Happy Days.:D

I wonder how many other parts could be deleted because they are not immediately visible?. The my2012 Ibizas (all models) are now missing the rear speakers.

Got drivers & passengers side parts from David today. Passenger side part is stamped 5P2 863 083 but the parts number on the package is 5P2 863 667B. No spongey bits to speak of. Now I need to source the correct screws for under the dash.

On the driver's side, I'm wondering how the fuse box cover bit will fit back after that bit of trim is fitted.

mm, what's the part no on your fuse cover on the driver's dash?

Hi

It would seem you need the trim SP286308A1UQ
Screws N90698606
Clamp 1J0858137B
Thumb Screw WHT000155
Something called Sheathing ! SP2857947A1UQ

Got the part numbers from a .RU website that had an exploded drawing of the dash plus part number for LDH/RHD. Would have posted a link but the forum stops me saying I have to have made 15 posts first.......

Hope that is some help :)

Missing parts all fitted now. Thanks for help and input, guys.

To sum up, then, if you are missing the Altea under-dash trim parts that sit above the footwells, you will need...
Passenger side: 5P2 863 667B (contains 5P2 863 083A), 3 off screws N90 698 606 and 3 off plastic screws WHT 000 155.
Driver side: 5P2 863 084 and 4 off screws N90 698 606.

You won't get any sound-deadening foam on them, though.

glad to have been of help & glad its sorted , maybe you could use sound deadening instead of the foam , cause with that stuff you can cut the holes out
