slightly different kettle of fish i know, but read robs thread HERE about getting dealerships to adjust doors.

cars are never screwed together better than when they first leave the factory, and if possible they are best left that way. if you can live with it then live with it. and that goes for dash rattles and the like, it really is a last resort and best left well alone.
The dealership adjusted the door a little. They pulled the door in by a mm or 2 by adjusting the catch. Didnt make much difference to be honest apart from pulling the door in!?lol...best left now me thinks and just live with it as a characteristic of the car. To be honest every car has its inperfections and this is a minor niggle. Everything else about the car is solid and quality. To me the new Leon has an Audi feel about it more than VW.

Anyone running the new motor in for the first 1000 or so? I wasnt advised to but still taking it easy and blipping it every now and then. Im training it from day 1 on V-power diesel! ;)

I think people that dont own a SEAT still think they are cheap poor quality Italian (Fiat owned as they used to be) cars, Shame really as the new Leon is probably better quality than 70-75% of cars on the road today!...( Especially Toyota! ;) Ooops..couldn't help it..lol.. )..
I was impressed with V-power on my old petrol BMW so carried it on with my new LEON Tdi. Shame ive started from day 1 on the v-power as I cant compare its increase in performance..i'll just trust it. Being a V-power club member I get double points with every v-power fill up too! :)....Mind you I use half the amount of fuel now!lol

I've still got my v-power club membership from running my petrol FR on it. I was the same, never really ran the car on anything else except when I nearly ran of fuel with no Shell in site so I cant compare.

Well I had to pull away quickly today and was astounded how quick the engine responded considering I have the standard 1.9TDi 105Bhp. Shocked I managed to wheel spin to be honest lol... Sure its the V-power thats kicking in.

It was only after reading posts on this forum that I realised that there could be quite a wait for a new FR tdi. My current FR will be 3 years old at end of March and although I love it I had decided to change it. I have always been in the habit of having a new car every 3 years.
It is due for a service, road tax, MOT etc by the end of March and so I wanted a new one before having to pay out all that money.

Went to a local dealer 2 weeks ago to see what they could guarentee to get me before the end of March and they came up with either a red or luna grey and they both had 18" and bluetooth but nothing else extra. that was really all that I wanted.
I didn't know which colour to have. perhaps I should have gone for red but I decided upon luna grey. My current 07 FR is black and my previous two Golfs were also black and so i am looking forward to a change.

I still keep wishing I had ordered red!

I'm pretty sure I was only offered a couple of FL FRs that were already built but I decided on new so I could spec my perfect setup. I agree red look mint especially when clean. Still I bet the Luna grey will look sweet!

See my signature for Luna Grey FR pic and does look nice maybe a little understated compared to Red, Orange and Yellow. Our FR arrived at the dock's two weeks ago after 31/10/09 order and dealer is leaving it there untill next week before calling it up ready for March 6th handover.

Cadillac BLS goes on the 22nd Feb Strastone Cadillac made an offer £500 above anybody else after seeing the advert on Piston heads and the offer was £150 less than I advertised it for!!! We are then making do with my old P reg Rover 214i that my parent brough off me in 97. We go from a barge to a rusty rowing boat to a speedbaot within a month

The luna grey does look good. It's just since I ordered it I can't help but notice hpw many silver cars are on the roads.
Having said that, I would rather have a car that is a little understated. I would not be quite as concerened at leaving it parked in slightly dodgy areas.

I'm actually really looking forward to getting it and having a change from black.

Silver is also about the easiest colour to keep looking good and shows up scratches and marks far less than black. The downside is the loss of contrast with the silver mirror covers.
