Sure I saw wat may have been a Cupra K1 in front of me at Crail that went like a diesel off the line :cheeky:

As a tester went on to parkers and put 08 Cupra and k1 same year to what values should be and was £1250 difference iirc
But saying that I put 11 plate Cupra r into same database and dealers prices are massively overpriced compared to what parkers think they should be.

I think tough times ahead for dealers may be as rare as pubs if they not carefull !

Parkers valuations are pretty **** to be honest

CAP values are much more accurate

Thing is that there are notable differences between the Cupra and Cupra R on the facelift MK2 Leon that warrant a price difference.

Comparing the Pre Facelift Cupra and Cupra K1, does a body kit warrant up to £3-£4k difference when the kit costs a fraction of that to have fitted?!. People must be nuts to pay the extra :fool:

Just the way it works, similar thing can be said for colour

I can understand colour though - for example Yellow is marmite. You can add a body kit to a red/white/black/blue Cupra and have a Cupra K1 for less than it costs to buy a car with the body kit already fitted. Wonder if there is any money in doing some conversions :)

 - Or was it a reference sport in white :funk:

May be coming south in the near future with the car - need to give you a shout to meet up. I think I may owe you a beer.

Haha, your a bad man Al!;) Good news if your heading South my good man, always a spare room at my house too if you need somewhere to crash for the night!:D

Perfecto. Will call you when it's sorted out! We can see what's quicker between a Cupra and a Cupra K1 to settle the whole debate once and for all at the same time :D

Only if it's a true k1 !!!!
Might be a diesel in disguise and if he beats you Al it's not valid LMAO !

How far south we talking? Might be purseueded to travel for some good ol banter

Will let you know too bud. Early days just now, but definitely as far as Sheffield. Maybe as far as Daventry :)

Sorry mate but that is not true !
A K1 is registered as a Cupra , check your V5
The bumpers and rear section of exhaust are added by the dealers , they all reach port as standard cupras.
And insurance data bases have most k1 listed as Cupras , use the search function and you will see.
Just out of interest how much have you got your k1 up for ? Is it in the for sale section?
Just seen it , good luck with your sale
Just noticed Al's car valued same as yours without mods
Food for thought.
And tbh adding the bumpers and side skirts and exhaust actually does make a K1 they are the only differences oh and of course the badge on the back everything else is Cupra because that's what they entered the country as.
Simples
And tbh if people are willing to pay the inflated prices because of some ugly plastic then more fool them.

Insurance data base does not have the K1 down as a Cupra!!!
I should know iam insured with admiral and without saying anythig giving them the reg it came up as a Cupra K1 and it even says it on the insurance certificate. So their are benefits of a "real k1"...plus the comment about plastic kit is your opnion. Alot of others would disagree they look much better than a standard Cupra, i get compliments every were i go and its not only young people complimenting it. Plus you dont have to tell the insurance company about the kit as it comes up as a K1 therfore not giving them the opportunity to add more preimium. So thats some food for thought for the few members that are part of the anti K1 brigade :)

I didnt get what you meant by my sales thread though :-s ....

A piece of paper with a letter and a number extra?

Reduced insurance premium than a Cupra with the declared K1 kit on. Which can add up to alot of £ for young drivers like my self. Plus its down to personal preference, some like the subtle (boring) Cupra look and some like a more in your face K1 look. :D
