Turning Inspection message off

any one any ideas on turn the inspection light off on a seat ibiza 1.2 ??

Hold in the trip reset button, turn on the ignition, wait till it reads - - -

yep hold the millage trip button down and turn on ignition to the first click then it displays ---

just on a timer when your meant to get a service like 10,000 miles interval or a year.

I posted this up on behalf of a friend, so its not my car but my understanding was that it had a seperaye service reminder? this time the message was INPSPEC and it had a little spanner symbol

Hold in with ignition on, turn off, keep holding, turn back on and i think you turn it right after you turn it back on
