Not a car related update but in other news...

So the Leon will have a new modification in the form of Recaro baby seat and pram.

If it's not sold by November that is. Avant S4 would be perfect for the family times haha

I'm over the moon, cheers for the kind comments.

Best thing is the LCR is a perfect 'quick' family motor so it's not like I'm stuck in a 350Z or similar so I don't need to rush a sale of mine and can wait for the perfect buyer.

May take my mate up on his offer of 4 wheels refurbed for the price of 3 to finish the standard of the car off.

When I bought my Leon it was because we were expecting our first child and we needed the extra space. It was a perfect fit for nearly 7 years and was only sold for the M3. Don't sell out of "baby panic" mate - kids will drain your bank without having to buy a more expensive car!

Congrats all the same - it's an awesome and amazing life changing moment (having kids - not selling the Leon!).

weight is the enemy
I sold my S4 Avant for the LCR after we had our first daughter! ;) You won't need more space than the LCR provides. And the boot is bigger than the golf, we went to all the dealers with our prams to see which fitted them in the boot the easiest. LCR won hands down!

Congrats Mate we fit an 8 year old - 6 year old and a 2 year old in the back of ours.

Boot is a different shape to the golf - Our Icandy Apple Pram is a PITA to fit in the Leon, fitted easily into Golf IV, and can be put in the back of our Sharan without folding lol.

I would say stick with the LCR good practical size.

Cheers for the 'baby related' views. Being honest the Leon isn't the family motor, the new AClass is. I was looking to change because the car is hardly driven and I could free money up.

It won't be going for a baby car that's for sure but good to know it will easy cope with the job!

Thought id bring this to life again

Yesterday I found out that we are having a girl, secretly wanted a daddy's girl :)

On the LCR front I have been rekindling the love, due to personal reasons from the past I have 3 years left and then I will finally be free of my 'debt' with the baby on the way I've decided to keep with the R for the next 3 years and then treat myself when we move house - 5 years with a car will be my longest!!!

So next up will be Cambelt/water pump, decat (as mine now stinks and is on its way out) and a nice Recaro baby seat.

That's great news about the expectant arrival of your baby daughter. Congratulations!

Nice to hear that you've decided to stay with the LCR. One of the nicest examples on here that's for sure. You seem to have gone to great efforts to make it "saleable". Kind of nice to know that you'll be able to enjoy it!

James :)

Good to hear
I've had my LCR 5 years now and it still bring a smile

Hopefully I can get through them without a hitch and wanting a change again.

Good man and nice one on the news mate :)

Just wasn't anything out they're that ticked the boxes I needed once I was looking, 1. 5 door, 2. Low mileage 3. Excellent condition and 4. Quick all for 6k I realised I had what I was looking for haha

Cheers James, car is perfect condition with just stage 2 bits id be interested in performance wise and a set of Coils as a visual aid. After the work I did pre sale it's nice to keep and enjoy as you said.
