universal intercoolers

hey just a quick thread to see how all the universal intercooler build from about 6 months ago were getting on? i am still not started mine due to other problems requiring attention has anyone had any problems with them or are they lasting ?

IIRC Robdon did a comparison between universal intercooler and Forge item and found no differences. Only problem you could ever have is if you use pony hosesthat aren't beaded.

He's done some changes recently and found there was a big difference between the two.

If your going for big power go for the Forge/PA ones.

If sticking with remaps then perhaps go for the universal ones

i got a uni one in my readers rides. Its dropped intake temps quiet a bit

2 weeks ago I had mine stage 2 mapped using a universal cooler and it made good gains

I know someone with a anniversary golf that has the same engine/mods as me but has a very expensive pro alloy cooler.......it made excatly the same power at the same mappers this week on a similar day.
