VAG-COM on windows 7??

Will VAG-COM work on windows 7?

If so, which version do I need to download?

I have an ebay 16 pin cable and a 1.9tdi 110 leon if that makes any difference?

i use 409.1, i let the cable drivers install themselves. just make sure you change the port info to com1 etc

You can use any version just install right click the icon when installed, select compatability and then select windows xp.

Yep but 7 has Windows XP compatibilty built in just have to tell it so though..........

i got windows 7 running my free version of 409 fine...

i run it in XP mode... otherwise the program simply wont open!

I have still not managed to get mine running

select properties

compatibility tab

compatibility mode - select as required (XP SP2 worked for me)

Privilege level - run this program as administrator





not sure what version i have as its on the kids laptop but i set mine as above and once i got the cable and drivers sorted and set I never had any issues

Current version 908 will only run on genuine Ross-Tech leads sold only by our distributors. If you buy an eBay wire, you will be running version 409.

Yes - be sure the interface is working as you expect it to work before you place an order for the 409 license.
