VAG-com with vista?

As the title ask's, Will VAG-com run on vista? I reckon i might know whats coming lol

Will an earlier version be ok for using on my MY02 V5?

Thanks got the shareware working on vista and like it so i'm now looking to buy the upto date version , what would be my best buy and from where?

Any idea's ?

If you mean by up to date that you want the latest version of software, then you must buy a genuine Ross-Tech dongle interface. Version 5XX and later all require genuine Ross-Tech dongle interfaces. You can find a UK dealer on our distributor list.

The current version of the VAG-COM software is 704.

You do not need the new software. I have vista and running version 409.1.

When you install it right click on the shortcut,
Go to properties and go to compatability,
Change to windows 2000 and click ok,
When this is done right click again and run in admin.

Make sure you obd cable is running through port 3

Dont run a auto scan use select control module.

Voila its working!

edmong1981, we have had several users which followed instructions like yours and similar but some of them never got older versions to work on Vista. Do not generalize just on a single experience.
