Vag Com

Just sitting in my car now as we speak to perform a search on vag com, but cant figure out how to set it up, when i go onto select control moduel then click engine for me to the search it comes up no responce from controller, anyone advise me?

go to options and check the ports first

yeh done that mate tested them and found the right one just dont know what to do next!!??

if you checked the ports and tested them so it says its ok then go to select control modules
open the engine controller and it should come up with all the cars details

then you can scan for fault codes and log measuring blocks

Yeh did exactly that mate but then comes up no responce from controller, just lost alot of boost, 10psi to be exact and wanna see what the vag com comes up with.

do the cables on ebay not work then, they all say VAG COM OBD2 compatible????

You reckon thats the reason? my mate got one aswell and his works fine and i got it from same bloke, lights up when plugged into the port aswell.

My first ebay cable was dodgy, would pickup stuff on some modules and not others. Flogged it again and the bloke said it works fine on his audi a4.... go figure.

Bought a gendan cable for £40 and its worked perfectly everytime.

Yeh tested the ports and it found the right one so the cable must be working.

bloody ibiza's, i hate vag com, keeps telling me things are wrong that i didn't know about!!! LOL.

Try your mates lap top with your cable then your lap top and his cable.
