my pump was very clean for 38k I was surprised because the golf r pumps look really blocked on half that mileage maybe the cupra hasn't got the same problem as the s3 or golf r.

I know that's what I thought too when I seen it but I have had the car from 12k to 38k now and its the original pump. That pump looks brand new against some of the glogged pumps I've seen
Could it be that the R and S3 pumps are so clogged up because they're connected to the AWD system and not the front diff? Maybe that's causing more wear? Unless of course your pump is from an ST 4drive. In that case it's very strange the Cupra would be so much cleaner, but awesome for us Cupra peeps i suppose (provided they're all that clean that is).my pump was very clean for 38k I was surprised because the golf r pumps look really blocked on half that mileage maybe the cupra hasn't got the same problem as the s3 or golf r.
no mate I got it done at a vag specialist my road is so uneven you would struggle to get the correct level of fluid in.Did you clean it yourself rozer?
I think your right but just to rule it out maybe some one else can get there's done if its clean like mine then I don't see this as a problem for us cupra boys which is a big plus there have been loads of replacement diffs due to the pump blocking on s3 golf r .Could it be that the R and S3 pumps are so clogged up because they're connected to the AWD system and not the front diff? The GTI is FWD, yes, but (unlike the Cupra) the locking differential is not standard fitment; it is an option as part of the "Performance Pack". Most GTIs don't have this.Don't know the answer but I think the Golf GTI is the same setup as the Cupra (eg front wheel drive only) and as you say most of the noise on the web is about Golf R's
Awesome don't seem to want to offer a discount for getting both jobs done in parallel. The prices quoted are as per their websiteMaybe if they had the offer of 2 vehicles to do they may offer discount? I'm wanting mine doing
