Version 805.3 Issues! Label File Problem

Morning!

I have just got my hands on a genuine Ross Tech Key USB cable as the ebay one i have is pants!

The problem is using the new version of the software i can only access the same things as before! its as if its in shareware mode but the "about" page says its fully registered!?!?!?!?!

Its realy annoying as i cant access advanced measuring blocks or Advanced ID, the buttons are unavailable to select!

Does this mean my car isnt compatible?

Or have i done something wrong somewhere!!!

Oh Bloody!

After another hour of searching i found out that all i need to do is create a label file!!

Will give it a bash later and see if it works!!

OK, i have done as advised on the ross tech website to create a label file, however when i go into control module 01 for engine, it still will not let me access advanced measuring blocks, it still says no label file, what am i doing wrong!!!!

Any Suggestions!

Lets start from the beginning. A missing label file doesn't necessarily imply an incompatibility, all it means is that for example the engine in question may not be fully documented and some functions like advanced meas. blocks will not work. What you can do (and apparently already did) is creating a map from the control module in question. This map doesn't automatically mean all functions are available afterwards, but once you send us that map as advised on the relating page of our WIKI we should be able to supply a proper label file with one of the next updates of VCDS.

Since you have already created those maps, please send them together with an Auto-Scan of the vehicle directly to me. Once I've received them I'll take a look what exactly is missing and what we can do to get you some help here. You should find my email address right below this text in my signature.

any update on this, vagcom updated to version .4 but stil no label for me???
