Intercooling is the issue in the Elise installation, you just can't get enough air through it. Best option would be to chargecool it but it's expensive to do.

You're probably right, but I think the cams are holding it back at the top end.
When you've squeezed the 1.8T into the Elise engine bay there isn't much room left for anything else, all of the chargecooler parts have to be custom made.
I'm sure with a little thought you could easily use the above kits,there is not much room in mr2 engine bay either,pace used to do a kit but i think rogue have a better kit now,give them a shout i bet it wouldn't be much more expensive than a decent air to air intercooler.
Cams may help it's a bit hit and miss,you may gain 20/30 bhp but i wouldn't have a clue what actually works well in a 1.8t,i think it's a bit of a missed area in 1.8t tuning.

Yeah, thanks for that, they may fit. I had a couple of MR2 turbo's so I know things are tight for space.

It's not my car, it's run by Guglielmi Motorsport. I just put the 1.8T engine in it a couple of years ago.
RS200 style, hmmm, never thought of that. Bit draggy though.
