I came out to the leon this evening and once it opened the Digital dash came on like that in photos.
The speedo clock behind seems to working ok and second picture show the black clock fading back in any ideas what this could be? could be software update is need has anyone come across this glitch? Clock has now returned to normal without any intervention and no errors showed up.on odb11 too.

Its 2018 so be out of dealer warranty and I bought privately over 6 months ago so no warranty.
I will contact local dealer see what happens.

der Händler tauscht alles aus. Preis 1000-1500€. Mach es selbst. Ausbau 30 Minuten, LCD-Austausch 30 Minuten, wenn du nicht so gut bist, Einbau 30 Minuten. LCD-Display Preis 100-150€. Vorher Batterie abklemmen, dann sollte nichts passieren

Der Austausch hat bei mir 10 Minuten gedauert.

the dealer will replace everything. Price 1000-1500€. Do it yourself. Removal 30 minutes, LCD replacement 30 minutes if you're not very good at it, installation 30 minutes. LCD display price 100-150€. Disconnect the battery first and nothing should happen

The replacement for me with the speedometer removed took 10 minutes including disassembly.

Thanks for that, I will avoid Seat so I look into getting to aftermarket installer to get lcd screen and install it. I am useless at DIY ?

If he doesn't know what he's doing, he won't be able to organize a screen for you or if it's overpriced.

That's another reason for me not to retrofit a VC!!

It's a very very rare issue, which only really happens with older hardware

Did you get this resolved? I have come out to my car to the exact same problem, it looks like the brightness is turned right up as I can see the details very faint.

Hi no never fixed it guy looked at it scanned to check and clear any codes nothing showed up and said mostly likely acting up with cold damp weather to leave it and hasn't happened since.
