I've just been round today doing all my door seals, been meaning to do it for ages and it was a lot easier than what I thought to do! Fingers crossed my car may be semi waterproof now!

The dealers must get seriously pissed off with fixing leaks! I reckon 1 in 2 cars leaks....

I reckon most people attempt fixing themselves to save on labour costs....however if the dealers get pissed off then perhaps seat should of built the cars properly in the first place ha ha

guys ta for reply.

sorry to be asking about issue that comes up again and again - is really annoying for all you regulars.

will try the resealing inner door frame with silicon once it dries out.

btw the bloddy tdi is soooo efficient that the car don't warm up on the way into the wife's work - and trying to tell missus to open the windows is too much effort!

have to agree about poor engineering tho - my car (Evo 6 TME) has not been used for 2 months (broken clutch) but is totally dry inside.

LOL u reckon! I work at skoda and with the fabia's i would say 95% come back in within the first 5 years of being sold new to have rear door seals re-sealed.

I sure hope vag manage to fix this problem on the newer models
