What did you and your MK2 do today?

Okay so finally got to the bottom of my misfire.

Did a resistance test on all my injectors 2-4 were at 2.5 ohms and cylinder 1 wasn't even giving a reading. So replaced it with a new injector, and the valves were caked in carbon so have it a clean up with some forte cleaner. Hopefully should run a bit better now

I have pictures but don't know how to put them up?

What was the results of misfire? Any running problems or limp mode?

Yes took off the whole manifold and cleaned the valves!

cool how did you find the job it dont look to bad to do removing the mani and cleaning the valves through the head?

It was a ****ing ballache if I'm honest, I had to guess how to dissemble it. Pictures are above ^^^

My phone battery died by that point mate as it was gone 10pm lol
The valves were 1000x cleaner I sprayed them with forte cleaner and left it to soak for 10 minutes and then hacked away at it slowly with a flathead screwdriver.

The reassembly was harder than taking it off yes, the throttle body plastic pipe was a *******!

I had a can off compressed air mate, blew it straight out, the hoover made an appearance too lol

Mounted both front and rear mudflaps. Makes it look a wider and more sat from the back and lower from the side.

Gave the car an oil change and swapped over the pro race 1.2's and R888's for the standard LCR 19" alloys and Michelin supersport pilots for winter. Currently down south at centre parcs winfell forest fully loaded with bikes and enough of the mrs bags to last me a few years let alone a long weekend!!!

Bought some Sonax perfect finish polish. Hopefully get one more good day in before the winter comes to give it a good detail and get rid of the swirls etc.

Hadnt used it much the past 5 days or so as had a hire car for work, a Hyundai i40. Not a bad car, though very very laggy.
