Wiped down with degreaser, then sprayed with all purpose cleaner and aggravated with a detailing brush. Wiped down with a damp microfibre cloth. Then 2 coats AutoGlym vinyl and rubber care.

Anyone ever heard of a rear anti roll bar actually snapping in half? Heard something go bang as i turned into get fuel and thought i must have been spring, got the car jacked up and the rear anti roll bar has snapped clean!

Good grief, walking home over the tyne bridge and saw a very badly barry boy'd EP3 Type R 'racing' with a Leon Mk3 in rush hour traffic.

I couldnt see if it was a Cupra mk3 because I was still stunned by the massive white vertical windscreen decal it had down the passenger side!!! Never seen owt like it, and ive seen some shitt3rs in my time!!!

The plasti dip like paint started to peel on the small panel in the centre console so I took it out and sprayed it black, waiting for a new ciggy lighter to turn up before I can fit it as I managed to destroy the old one trying to remove it!

Me and the FR had a HUGE front end wash out this morning coming home from work. Coming off the Bury St Edmunds roundabout at the back of the sugar beet site (end of Compiegne Way) 3rd gear and pressing on the car just washed out totally! Thought I was gonna clout an oncoming truck but a lift off, straighten up, lift off oversteer correction and foot back down to pull it straight saved the day.

Heart fluttered for a moment tho I can tell you. I know the difference between power induced understeer and simple loss of traction and this was like suddenly being on bloody ice! Diesel I assume but hell it went fast.

And all because hill billy chav boy in his MK3 road scraping Golf was trying to inspect my tailgate badge..................

Note to self: must grow up

Frightening moments mate, all been there although I have never had understeer trouble in the Leon, might be the difference in the weight up front or as you say something like diesel on the road.

I remember a few occasions when I had my Fabia, it was only a 1.4mpi but it had some cheapo marangoni tyres and I had lift off oversteer and understeer. I was young and convinced I was able to extract each of the 68ponies all the time hahaha. Scared the heebeejeebies out of myself a few times..

I've had a MK1 Leon Cupra tdi 150 and now this MK2 FR pd170 and had lift off oversteer in both!

I like it, as long as I'm ready for it!

It just pops out with a flat headed screwdriver. There's two clips either side of where the ESP, tyre pressure, and door lock buttons are, might be another one at the very top in front of the mirror control button but just get something thin and flat and just pry around the edges gently

Fitted a new cigarette lighter / 12v outlet to the piece of trim in the center console what a pita the was! Destroyed the old one trying to remove it. Re-installed it all and am pretty happy with the results. Wouldn't recommend doing this if you don't like fiddly jobs though!

Picked up a set of FR Andromeda alloys for a bargain price today. Could do with refurb so not sure what to do with them... leave them as they are and get some winter rubber, refurb them and get a nice set of new Eagle f1's to then swap over with my current Andromeda's, or just hang on to them or even sell them on.....
