the roof rack fixing brackets are welded too the roof, there's access clips on the roof rail covers, nothing is fixed too them coversam surprised these rails aren’t secured with screws from inside, considering they hold roof racks and weight!!!

I agree, I knew how they came off but you would have thought they may have clipped in instead of a interference fit, especially when they thought let's put like 100 screws on the doorcard handle ? ?am surprised these rails aren’t secured with screws from inside, considering they hold roof racks and weight!!!

Very nice
Yep you just gently work from one end and gently pop them out there is like a rubber at the bottom that gives it that tight interface fit, really thought they would have been rail brackets of some sort that they clip into, the crap that sits under them is our equivalent to superglue lolHang on - you're saying there's nothing actually holding them in?

One of these days I'll just take my side skirts off, epoxy the cover in place and then smooth it down with filler. On mine there just standard black?, a good about paint shop can match the colour

It's from Paints4u so decent stuff. The same rattle can was a perfect match for the door handles, so it's just the roof having faded I think.
Yeah, just the way it goes with older cars. Need to get the rear bumper redone as well, but I'll get a guy out for that one. It's Arctic Grey, so not as posh as the later silver ?I had the same problem with my bonnet. The bumper and inside of the door were absolutely fine, but the bonnet just looked totally wrong. I'm giving it another try in a fortnight when I do my bumpers, but it feels a bit much trying to blend most of the bonnet for the sake of a 50p piece bit of damage.
I think you're the only person who will notice it (or else it'll fade too in time!) but it is a pain sometimes.
Is yours LS7Y? Lunar Grey? It's a hard colour to blend.
