As long as the bills are paid and my purchases make no difference to day to day life its all good.

Besides, shes got more pairs of shoes and handbags than Imelda Marcos.

If i spent 15k on an engine id expect her to leave..........

.... she'd have to as we'd be homeless ?

Don't worry I thought it the second I saw it the other day although I certainly couldn't bring myself to spend £17k on it to find out for sure.

found out the cause of my crazy lean issue and no fuel pressure is because the jubilee clamps on the fuel pump were never up to the task, spraying fuel all over the place on prime. finally after nearly 2 years she starts up when cold!

How long will a piece of card last though?
A strip of thin flexible plastic (and a blob of grease) would be better wouldn't it?

It doesn't go between the actual ball and socket, it sits behind the socket wall therefore isn't subjected to any friction wear.

Oil and filter. Mobil 1 full synthetic as always

I know it's not scientific, but I feel like my car is running so much better with the Quantum oil. I used Mobil 1 the last time and while it was obviously better than the stuff I'd left in there for years and not changed, it did seem a bit lumpier.

Thankfully we're all mature enough here not to descend into a week long argument about what the best oil for our cars is...

Wait, whut? We're not? But I've already grabbed my Quantum branded pitchfork and lit a torch (yeah, I know it's the middle of the day but it's traditional, can't have an angry mob without lighted torches, wouldn't be right)

I aim to change mine every 3000 miles/ 6 months (whichever is sooner). Have used Mobil 1 0w-40 for the last 11 years. Original engine and turbo still doing well at 125k, despite having been remapped in 2012. I think as long as you go full synthetic then that it the main thing. Most brands probably pretty similar.
