no but can do that at the weekend when i have more time....now i know it's easy enough to remove i can just unbolt it and pop a new one on.

honestly didn't think of replacing it but i am going to.

can do using a vagcom that a friend of mine has. at the moment there isnt anything wrong with it its not sluggish in anyway or throwing up error codes.
i did the whole disconnect the battery thing and put the ignition on but not start the engine.

waited for the high pitched buzzing to sort itself out. started the car and away it went.

dont worry bud i will do. the mate whos got the vagcom asked me to do his, so im going to do it on a favour for favour basis :)

alright thanx bud. will have a look around for one.

didnt think i did too bad a job considering this is the 2nd ever mechanical task i have done on an engine....ha.

Took my car in for a service, mot, aircon service, replacement coil packs, both belts and waterpump.

Then i was told there is no point them doing the mot yet as its going to fail on a dodgy headlight bracket, damaged nsr spring, broken exhaust bracket and its going to cost over £900 to fix the steering rack,:scary: i never had any problems with the steering.

thats the plan, there is no way i can afford the over £1200 they say it needs to fix everything, its costing over £700 for the stuff they have done so far.
im going to pick it up tomorrow and find a local mot place that will hopefully not have an issue with it. its always felt fine to me.
