Coolant 3-5 years normally
Gearbox oil, errr, when the clutch is replaced? Not very often really, gonna do mine soon, no doubt it's the first time, unless the gear box has been out before (95k now)

Managed to get my drivers 'welcome' light fitted and working, looks cool!
now gotta do the passenger (front) one... Pics to follow...

VW told me it's transmission oil for life, had mine done on the new box that went in as a precaution though

Fair enough, I've always changed mine more as precautionary measure also...
And it's a good way to see if there any filings floating around.

Not necessarily, you don't have to drain the gearbox oil to take the box out

I had a few issues with fitting, they kept going out, but I just assume they switch off them selves/time-out, which is fine with me, I don't normally take more than a five minutes to get in and out lol.

Under £15 too...

Discovered my 008 valve was sticking shut a bit after servicing it last week so took it apart again and whacked a load more grease in it.

A lot I fitted a 25mm Eibach one and my car grips the road on the bend's much better. it'll be even better still when I get around to fitting my coilie's. Had em a year still not fitted yet.

Highly recommended! Fit a larger one in the back if you have a FWD car. Im running with standard 23mm front and 24mm Whiteline in the back. Also front strut uppper and lower. Makes a big difference!
