Yeah same over here.
Mind you not too much on mine will annoy them I hope!
Think as car looks well looked after and is a nice example and I’m not a young asbo behind the wheel being a complete pri@#, they give me a squeeze.

Guy local to me with an Audi S3 started off running no plate, then plate in window and now vinyl side plate but hes been fined countless times now. Then asked me why I don't run no plate on the Porsche??

So, the weathers nice, the missus is away, time to get some car jobs done.
Got it up on axle stands last night ready to get a good start this morning painting the brembo’s again.
When I got the car a few years ago they were in a state so went off to Halfords and bought red calliper paint. Did them, new transfers and clear coat on.
They looked great and they’ve lasted really well. The only problem about 6 months ago I had to have 2 new rear callipers and put genuine ones one which highlighted that the red i’d used is too bright red. Only slightly but for someone with OCD it’s been really frustrating me.
I ordered the correct colour from BCS paint that arrived yesterday so today’s the day. ( aswell as running 3 kids here there and everywhere) lol
Hopefully get them done today before the weather turns tommorow.

Wont be very tbh hes got a Stage 3 S3 so close to 500bhp lol. Sounds poor though.
RIPPED OUT THE SEATS and cleaned the interior for a good 2.5hours today...
Now the OZONE machine is running for an hour to get rid of all the nasty smells of gearbox oil / smoke / and mold
I think the previous owner worked construction because under the nasty floor mats was about 5kg of rocks sand and dirt... weight saved! Yoohooo!!!

BONUS FOR EVERYONE
I accidentally learned today the rear seat pull out and allow it to fold all the way down (without headrests) so the cargo area goes completely flat!

I’ve owned one for over 11 years. Never knew it did that. Mine are removed now, but that is really neat.

The front calliper is after I’d painted it, new transfer and a clear coat. It’s a two part mix with the paint and a hardner.
Thought I was wasting my time cause it still seemed to be too bright red but as it’s dried it’s dried darker.
I’ve not long since finished so it’s too hard to tell in the dark with the security lights on if they’re now the same colour or not.
If not as gutted as I’ll be it’s certainly freshened them up. Lol
Also got the car booked in for a full underseal on Monday.
Had it checked over last week to make sure everything was okay underneath before having it done, so it’s getting protected before the winter sets in.
I’ll report back once it’s done but I have used this place before to have a classic car done and I was really impressed.
They remove the wheels, arch liners and cover up the brakes so everything doesn’t get covered in black s*#t.
I’ve seen so many cars come back from having underseal done with the wheels, bodywork and brakes all covered in waxoyl.
This place ain’t cheap but I know it’s done properly and it’s a better product than traditional waxoyl.
I’ll try get some photos while it’s being done and stick them on here.
It’s for the second pump as it’s a 4 wheel drive and it has two to pump the fuel over the hump in the tank and to measure how much fuel is in that half off the tank
