Is this what you're looking for?

Hard to tell, to be honest, but I need the lower cover that covers up the crankshaft, water pump etc. This is roughly what I can see when I have the side undertray taken off:

Does this help?

Ah right, this bit covers the water pump but doesn't go over the crankshaft pulley, there's a metal plate behind the aux belt pulley that it connects to on mine

What engine have you got? I'm guessing the ARL?

Looking at your picture again, it looks like I need that, and the bottom cover - so the whole lot comes in three parts - top, middle and bottom? I'm pretty sure I've only got the top one. I've got the ARL too and I know that the earlier engines (pre-2002 I think) had a different setup with the tensioner, so if yours is about the same age as mine, that cover should fit.

Mine are late 53/mid 04 plate engines.

Are you missing the part behind the aux belt pulley as well? It hides quite well there with a couple of tabs for bolts sticking up

Basically the part number is the same for all ARL/ASZ/AXR engines (it's the back plate that changes depending on VIN)

045109147A for the plastic bit

038109175 for the metal part behind the aux belt pulley if you're really unlucky

This part?

I'll need to have a closer look at what's going on, but I can't see that I'd be missing this part as well, so it sounds like all I need is the part that you've got that goes between the top cover and the bit above.

Sounds like I just need the bit you've got - I really appreciate you going to all this effort - when I've just got this empty space there at the moment I've no idea what's supposed to be there.

Of course, it looks like I need bolts as well...

I'd check as it needs to come off when the timing belt gets done

It's a relief that I can find the parts online - I'd be very surprised if the bottom cover is missing as well, as I'm sure that would have already caused issues with the accessory belt.

I'd be happy to take your middle cover off your hands. No worries if not though - it looks like I can get hold of one from eBay.

If you know what size bolts I'll need as well, that'd be awesome. Looking around, it sounds like they're 13mm heads, but I can't find anything reliable when it comes to anything else.

I had my lights staying illuminate. The back of the board had a light film on it of water vapour ad what looked like salt residue. Cleaned it off and problem solved

So did you remove cluster and split it open then??

Yeah. Remove the needles and it’s quite simple. Just took a soft brush to the board brushed all the crap off left it to air off then put it back in
