To be fair, the actual changing of the clutch doesn't bother me too much - it's working out how I'm going to support the engine and lower the gearbox without spending a fortune on an engine support or a transmission jack. That and bleeding the clutch properly afterwards

Weirdly enough, my brakes have felt more firm since I replaced the ball joints. I tightened up the retaining screw on the nearside disc as well, but I can't see that would have made much difference.
One more bleed and I'm sure it'll all be fine... Then another, and another...

brake with your left foot, bet you wont think they need bleeding after that
Looking forward to a review of yhese as may want some myselffitted some rod ends and got an alignment, also fitted my silver project top mounts recently
well on my non-cast arms its given me a comfy -2 deg camber
Handling feels nice, obviously better with the camber
Steering feels smooth. no resistance
Installation is really simple....once you figure out WTF to do as there's no instructions anywhere to be found.
Ride is a tiny bit harsher than powerflex top mounts, not much in it.
They have been a little rumbly with soft clonks but im not sure its the top mounts as ive had this clonk over small bumps for a while. other people report similar
tiny increase in road noise over the Pflex ones, so if you have those already and have no complaints about harshness, get the Silver project ones

Nice one ? currently running the Cupra R top mounts but they are little worn so was going to replace like for like, now thinking these may be way to go (I'm assuming they replace the rubbery bits, apologies for my lack of knowledge)
Yes mate they actually replace everything except the OEM bearing, it goes right on top of the spring cap then the rest follows.
No worries i had no clue until i got them in hand haha
Removed my strut brace so I could finally trim down enough to get the bonnet strut to fit back on
Cleaned and painted the area
Had to replace one of the rivnuts as it came loose and pulled out when I removed brace but new on installed and all back together

I have one of these and it reduces the back and forth throw.
I have mine set at around 30% less, at its full reduction its far too short and clunky imo.

Yeh, ive got the large cast piece that you use to adjust the throw but seem to remember being advised against getting the one that reduces left to right movement.
Just wondered if the kit in the pic had side throw adjustment.
I see the mount is bushless. Didn't know how much different that makes.

Yeah side to side reduction isn't really needed on these, even refreshing the mounts and bushes throughout will make a nice difference.
The main thing is to reset the shift cables though, this makes a huge difference and my shifter is super slick now.
