I have just spoken to flash as he has worked it out and its running

183bhp
175lbs

Vag com is CRAP for working out Bhp and torque - well actually its not vagcom's fault, the car's reading of torque is very inaccurate. But it means that those figures mean diddly squat.

I've seen vagcom give me a stupid range of results for bhp, from way below std to way above.

Someone has said it already - if you want to know if your car is faster than std, get it on some rollers.

Sure and I supose it depends on how big a set of scales you can get your hands on to get an accurate weight of your car including 6 months worth of maccy D bags, 55 CDs in the glove box and any nooks and cranies you can find!

for those who have time to do logs all day long at every meet its okay, but some of us do like to have a beer and chill.

i quoted 7psi to her, was the highest number i saw in the vag-com log. :)

LOL!!

Only that there is no need to tell your insurance company about your remap as even a bunch of clever Seat enthusists cannot work out if you have one or not!

...and then you might still not get an accurate answer as the the car could suffer from heatsoak on the dyno, or the operator might not be used to running VAG cars (or very good). Bear in mind you cannot take a result from one RR as gospel.

If you want to know whether your car is stock or not, you'd be best to meet up with someone that's got VAGCOM have a known stock car there and compare some datalogs; load 114, boost 115, MAF 002, etc. However even then you wouldn't know whether both cars are in the same condition so you could still see a difference between them. If you were to do this then a TBA (Throttle Body Alignment) on both cars prior to the test would be beneficial so the adaptation values are reset.

Values from the above logs could indicate if it's stock or not without comparison to someone that know's (or is used to) datalog values on these cars.

Hope this helps.

You could always pull your ECU out and have a look in to see if there's a chip on it! Wouldn't tell you if it's got software though.

Hhmm so is it worth trying to get more than one run on the RR as it may come out different each time?

I have heard they have BIG fans at this place to stop the cars overheating?

Its a bit frustrating really as i have had it VAG COMd three times now by peeps that know what their doing and i have had one low result and two VERY high results :(

I kind of think i should may be just give up but i cant help wanting to know, you know?
