I had this happen to mine last week the connection below the airbox looks like a real sod to get at. i wimped out and booked mine in, was done yesterday they reconnected it in two places, charged £45. I could have done without paying but at least its now usable.

The folks on here advise using a very strong mix of good quality wash to try to stop it happening again. If we get a really bad snap of freezing weather again i think iam going to stop using my rear wash until it climbs above freezing.

Good luck

so just to clarify there are 3 places i need to check,

the pipe that connects to the boot
the pipe under the seat belt cover
the pipe under the airbox that connects to the tank?

Rear washer

Hi,

My washer stopped working yesterday, as it happens it was going to seat today to check out something else- they said I need a new wiper at £75.00, I think it is just clogged up with gunk off the roads after the cold snap we have all sorts of muck on the roads. anyway I am not paying seat £75.00 for a new blade!

Old thread I know but....

Hi All - a question to those who have managed to fix this by themselves...

My rear washer is off under the airbox too - ive had everything apart but still cant find where to connect it back into ( have the left hand tube!)- should it be another longish piece of tube, or does it actually plug into a block somewhere? Its an absolute pain!

If you look just under where the ECU was (if you have taken it out), the pipe comes out of the bulkhead to the left of it (behind the metal thing with pipes coming out of it! I will find a picture for you... Right, the tube is located behind the metal thing that is to the left of the red circle!

 Have you fixed it? I ran the pipe in front of all of that crap so that I could connect it easily and tape it up too! ;)

:censored: Maybe I should have tried it before I replied!! :doh:Ive been out and had a go but the end that you suggest is the end that I have! (the water doesnt come from that pipe, it goes through it to to the back of the car, when its connected) Still cant get my mits on the other end! Do you think I'll be able to access it by taking the wheel arch liner out and get it from that end?

That other end ran under the airbox and headed into that red circle area on my pic. It should just be sat there... it won't have gone far if the pipe has popped apart at that join! :headhurt: You can see where the suds are on my photo just below the red circle. I ran the rear jet for ages to see where the stuff was coming out...

The water is actually coming from behind that box thing under the ecu! Hopefully its just that that side of the join has somehow ended up behind there and I can find it, pull it out and connect it round the front incase it happens again!

That's what I did! Just find the black plastic pipe under there... it'll be the one with water coming out of it and not attached to anything :cartman:

found my rear wiper washer not working aswell last week with MOT on the 17th :(

brought it in after work to the ramps in my work and checked the boot lid trim, no leaks

checked the boot lining and noticed a wet patch smelling like washer bottle fluid

it was located on the right wall of the boot below where the parcel shelf, its behind the fabric lining!

hope can help anyone!
