What is your boost gauge position when off?

After my worrys of MAF and N75 problems ive now noticed this,

im sure it used to sit at exactly 0psi when off?

How does yours sit?

Is mine buggered? could be the reason why im reading 2-3psi down

yeah its meant to be on 0...but doesnt mean is faulty really

more importantly would be where it idles at i guess, to get a rough idea

Mine sits on 0, or at least very close to it. On idle it reads -20 or 20 on the VAC scale.

I got the same gauge and mine sits at about 0.5mm from 0 so near enough 0.

Looks like it needs recalibrating if that is with the engine switched off.
Should read 0Psi
Bourdon tube type assembly I would imagine.

I thought all gauges sat at 0 when engine off?

My Stewart Warner gauge also sits at 0 when engine off and around 18hg when on idle.

Right cheers, hmmmm mine sits at -22vac when idleing.

Cant tell if its faulty though. Guess id have to get another boost gauge to test that.

What sort of idle figures are people getting?

If it's anything other than 0 when engine off then that isn't right.

mine sits at 0, in last car I had an autometer gauge and it was reading by 2 psi over when car switched off.. and still reading 2psi over when on full boost, so its a faulty gauge IMO

yup imo is knackered to. it also makes a funny noise when coming on boost. almost a slipping noise.

fella ive seen 50 gauges through group buys and only two having that issue, i wouldnt say they were that bad to be honest.

my autometer is fantastic. No issues whatsoever. Looks good too

got my autometer through brendy's GB. Autometer is leagues ahead of half of the ones I've seen (VDO/TIM) in terms of quality and finish.

Sits at 0 when off, idles at around 18 - 20 VAC, maxes out at 24-25 PRESSURE

Only regret is that I didn't get an oil temp gauge and a 2 pod nomad pillar
