one of my friends is off to look at an ibiza cupra, the guy is claiming the car has 220bhp. just wondering what sort of mods would have needed to be done to safely (engine reliability wise) produce this figure? he says it has been remapped by jabbasport but that figure seems quite high for a stage 1 remap? what do you all think? thanks in advance

Would need stage 2 remap, k03s turbo, 3" downpipe and full system inc sports cat, FMIC and decent filter

If its only running a k03 then dont expect over 200bhp with those mods listed above

forgive me for being a bit of a noob but what is a FMIC and also i presume the ko3s is a larger turbo than the the standard one?? thanks

FMIC = front mount intercooler

and yes a k03s is an upgrade from the standerd turbo

and if its got a print out of 220 bhp on jabbas rollers take it with a pinch of salt , i have a printout of 227bhp from jabba on a k03 which i know isnt posible (dyno lottery)

so it would need alot of dosh spending on it then to achieve this figure! is there any easy way of telling if it is the ko3s turbo by sight?? also what other things are there to look out for when buying one? it must be fairly similar to the lcr when looking for things wrong?!

nice one, thanks for the speedy replies. i will get him on the forum if he buys it.

mine is 214 bhp 256 torque an i,ve got stage 2 revo forge tip 4 bar fuel pressure regulator cai pipe powertec induction an cat bac system an fmic it was same before fmic but 240 torque an is for sale

the chap who fitted engine said that it was hybrid but probably cuz the ko3s i had was payin part of bill wont say how much cuz i got spanked

Defo not a hybrid with that power...

k03s at best maybe being held back by the standard downpipe and cat though...
