The time has come to look into a more economical car with that both the Mrs and I can drive. Probably going to get a A3 Diesel where the insurance and tax is less than tax alone on this beast. Will be on site a lot and mud, bumps and survey gear will ruin it.

I have a figure in my head but looking at the current cars around unsure on what i should be asking for. Milage on lots of others are quite high or low and highly modded.

Main things to consider are:-

1. 2003 Leon Cupra R 225
2. Platinum Grey
3. Lovely condition with usual tiny chips from stones but waxed and polished far too much !
4. Stage 1 Revo (Progressive and a nice delivery of power)
5. Led Side Lights
6. Jetex Air Filter
7. Forge 008
8. Heatshield
9. BBS Ch 18" reps (No stuffs)
10. Heatlight brows
11. Smoked repeaters
12. Autogauge and nomad pod
13. Milage 65k
14. 260bhp power 290lbs torque
15. 15mm Spacers all round
16. Heko deflectors
17. Scorpion exhaust

I am still in love with this car but needs must and time for someone else to enjoy it.

Here are some pictures:-

Comment please guys?

I will take a down payment of an A3 and we can sort the rest!!!

Anyone any other ideas on fun economical cars with lowish tax?

Would purchase these wheels again for the A3 if i do get one as i love them.

Ideas on selling price?

Lol... where do i start...
1 - Oil leak around the turbo area and the back of the engine is soaking( the oil is getting on the turbo/manifold and burning ...you can see it coming out the bonnet and if you put the blowers on you can see it coming through.
2 - when cold theres a crunch going into second
3 - Front discs (Brand new) warped ...Gets worse when hot...
There just some of the bad points...

Ive only had the car a week ...and it wasnt leaking when i brought it and the gearbox was fine as it was warmed up ...and the brakes felt ok ...

Not heard many issues with them PD engines are fairly bullet proof, they are fun and look lovley not sure about running cost looking at getting one a couple months ago but decided to keep the leon although I'm now going after a cupra r

This: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161359568333 obviously this one isn't in great condition but that type ibiza

Private sale? If not, take it back!

I take it Leon Cupra R's are still sought after with lowish miliage then

I'm only half looking at the moment as waiting on sale of 2 of my fleet  but it apears that it depends where abouts in the country you are, Scotland I've seen 3-4 genuinely nice ones for £2800 up to £3500 but if you live in Norfolk like me for the same car your talking about £4000+

Not many down in Devon so will take that as a good thing. Think i will have to clean her up at the weekend and guage for interest on here and Autotrader.

Few nice cars out there that will be a boring yet practical replacement.
