yeah thats the only problem.and it has the LC bumbers + starfish alloys.and only puts out 200bhp from a V6 which is pretty bad....apart from that....4WD!

if i had silly money id take the floor plan from that to make my LCR 4WD and get about 300bhp running off it,would make me a happy chappy :D

poor chappy though...

they other mounts will help. vibratechnic also make good mounts. fitted these to an a3 quattro the other week and the cars feel and gearchange were vastly improved.

what tyres do you run?

it's done it with every make of tyre I've tried michelin pilot sport 1,2's bridgestone, egale f1's, pzero's,yoko's, toyo's. Now got BFGoodrige on there and it still does it.

Check you have tightened the dogbone mount up correctly? Not sure if they have to be torqued up? Cant remember from when I did mine!

S3's dont use Quattro, they use Haldex. Which isnt all that good tbh. Real Quattro is only found on longitudinally mounted engines/gearboxes - as my mate at work with an RS2 reminds me daily :|

off the line tho a Haldex car launched will smoke any LCR with its traction, even more so when the weathers cold & damp like it is

Driver ability permitting ;)

I'll get me coat...TAXI

On a more sensible note, Bill, can you get the mounts you mentioned?

Yeah Haldex is ok for what its designed for. As soon as the front wheels lose grip the rears engage.

Apparently the Haldex controller is the best mod you can buy for a S3/TT/R32/4Motion. Improves the response time 100%.

Aint no Quattro though :D

Foxy, trying not take this off topic and bearing in mind I've not had any experience in a Haldex car I think you're making sweeping statements there.

There are a couple of topics on Haldex systems and there's one post which links to an "audi world" discussion on Haldex. I fear you're righting the system off without knowing enough about it.

Relight one of the Haldex threads if you think it's worth discussing?
